PSN down today for maintenance – check times in your area

PS3News

Sony is taking out the screwdrivers today, Tuesday 25 June, and performing some ‘routine maintenance’ on PlayStation Network. Here are the times PSN maintenance will begin and end according to time zone (Note: These times are approximate):

  • 09.30 PT – 16.00 PT (Pacific Time)
  • 10.30 MT – 17.00 MT (Mountain Time)
  • 11.30 CT – 18.00 CT (Central Time)
  • 12.30 ET – 19.00 ET (Eastern Time)
  • 17.30 BST – 00.00 BST (British Summer Time)
  • 18.30 CET – 01.00 CET (Central European Time)

While you won’t be able to download new content during the maintenance, you will be able to access some PSN features. Here’s Sony’s explanation: The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available during the maintenance period but you will be able to access online play and apps provided that you have signed in to the Network at some point between now and the time of the maintenance. So please be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the PlayStation Network during Tuesday’s maintenance window.

Of course, Tuesday is update day for PSN in the US, so Sony has updated PSN earlier than usual (it’s already updated), which means if you want any of the content scheduled for today – like the Borderlands 2 Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC – go and grab it before maintenance begins. For Europe, maintenance should be finished in time for tomorrow’s scheduled update, so it’s business as usual.
